Tips to prep your pets for the 4th of July

July 3, 2018

Try a Thunder Shirt!

-Be sure your pets have a safe space in your home or garage. A cozy bed, a crate or even a spot on your bed will help keep them calm

-Did you know July 5th is the busiest day for animal shelters? Ensure you've updated your pets' identifications - microchip address, ID tags on their collars, etc. If for any reason you were separated from your pet, having the up-to-date information makes a successful reunion much easier. And keep your eyes peeled for lost pets in your neighborhood.

-Put on the tunes. It never hurts to put the radio or TV on for them in the background - they REALLY love KISW, by the way :)

-Keep the windows and blinds closed to help keep the sounds and visuals to a minimum.

-If you have any other tried and true methods for keeping your pets safe and calm on the 4th of July, please send me an email so I can add yours to the list!
